I'm Sue Matte, and this is my new rescue dog, Mari! I was born and raised in New Jersey, but currently call New Hampshire my forever home with my wonderful husband, Steve.  My love for art comes from my amazing mom, Jinny, and grandmother, Grace, who were both incredible artists. My attention to detail comes from my dad, George, who was a very successful civil engineer. I've loved painting pet portraits all my life (and still do), but in college, I painted a portrait of my childhood home for my parents. They loved it! Recently, my daughter, a successful realtor, reignited my passion for painting architecture by commissioning numerous portraits to give to her new homeowners as closing gifts. A home portrait is such an emotional gift to give someone - and always loved by all!
