It’s the little things that
make a big impact.

Looking for a little extra personalization? I can add elements that might be missing from the original photo, such as a beloved pet or a blossoming tree. The options are limitless! Check out some inspiration below.

I painted this portrait for a man who has cherished his summers at this cottage for most of his life. To emphasize his family's love for the home, I included several personal touches like the hammock, colorful bicycle whirligig, and ducks. While there are typically 10-20 ducks that visit for corn, I kept their representation minimal to ensure the message of love was clear.

I painted this portrait for a military family who purchased this lovely home. I included the flag and pole as they were already present on the property, and that was important to them. Additionally, the birds in the painting were a result of the buyers' request to keep the feathered residents who already called the house their home. These small touches made a big impact on the family.

I painted this portrait for very good friends of mine who have a summer “camp” on the lake. Although this is not a home portrait per se, it is a very important part of their lives. If you notice the boat in the water, that is their own personal boat and although the people on board are not recognizable due to the distance, the people on the boat know who they are!  It’s about the little touches.
